Fantastic photos. I'm using one as my wallpaper. Where do I send the check?

And another:

And this one is a bit of a give-away:

My daughter was standing over my shoulder looking at these pics and yells out, "Aw come on!! That's not fair. I want to go home, Mom. I WANT to go home!" She hasn't even seen the lake pics

Maybe the last one, but i don't believe those pics are in WY. Unless Marram was here in April or May, there is just too much green for that to be WY. I'm thinking in MI somewhere.

Technically, there are plenty of mountains in Michigan. Anything 305 meters or taller is a mountain. Anything under 305 is a hill.

I did not say it WASN'T Yellowstone. I said if it was, it would have to have been taken sometime in April, May, or early June, because after that everything turns brown. Beyond the waterfall toward the right, there is a field of some sort. It's still kinda green, but you can see yellowish/brown patches beginning to form. By July 1st that whole field would be dead looking.
Besides, Yellowstone is on fire right now. Not as bad as in the 80's, but I heard on the radio the other day that parts of the park closed because of burning. They actually said the dead trees from the 80's fire is what has been keeping this one from getting out of control.

Dave and Roger -- you were both right. Yellowstone National Park, it was. The first picture is during the evening just north of Norris. The second is actually about two hours earlier on Howard Eaton Trail between Mammouth Falls and Mt. Bunsen. And the third is even earlier that day, Friday, 8/8/08 BTW, at the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. I thought my first picture with the rainbow, which was from Saturday, labeled from WY would surely give it away.

Ang, where do you live in WY? We might have driven right by your house.

Ssider mentioned that there were no mountains like that in MI, and a discussion ensued about the UP. Any mountains like this in the UP?:

Or animals like this? Seriously, though, are there moose in the UP?

The antelope was from Custer State Park near the Black Hills of SD.

I am in Casper. If you took 90 west, then you passed about 2 1/2 hrs north of my town.
If you took 80 west to 25 north, then you passed about 1/2 mile north of my house. (I-25 actually runs east/west between Douglas and Casper).
I think you and I stood in the same spot cause I have almost the exact same pictures of Jackson Lake. Pretty cool, huh? That place is absolutely breathtaking!!
Are you guys still there or did you recently get back? I wish I would have known you were going, I would have sent you in search of this...

I went the first week of August two years ago. Man!! I was cold at night!
