A HUGE congratulations to MCHS's Daniel Armstrong. He high jumped an incredible 6 foot 11 inches to win the Indiana Indoor High School State Finals Track Meet in the high jump. With that gold medal, he also smashed not only the MCHS record for the high jump, but also the Elston and Rogers records.
Armstrong's 6'11" would have tied for the state outdoor champion high jump last year, and sits a mere two and one quarter inches away from the record highest jump in Indiana high school history at 7' 1 1/4" Armstrong finshed 5th in the state last year at State Finals in the high jump as a Junior. The great news for City, is that the outdoor season is just starting, so Armstrong has a lot of time to make a run at an incredible 7 foot high jump. |
