A traveling exhibit in Michigan City is attracting folks from all over.

And it's helping to teach the younger generation about one of America's most significant moments in history.

The "9-11 Never Forget Exhibit" opened Wednesday morning at the Blue Chip Casino and Resort.

It's a traveling exhibit started by the Siller family, after their brother, Steven Siller, a New York firefighter, lost his life on September 11, 2001.

The exhibit is a tribute to those who sacrificed their lives on that day 15 years ago and a way to educate those across the country by moving from city to city.

“Everybody wants to know, at least from my point of view, what firemen did,” said retired New York firefighter Terry Felrice. “It's a tradition in the fire department that we take care of our own and we take care of the widows and children and take the kids to ball games, do shopping for the women, just things that the husband would have done if he had been there until the widow get back on her feet.”

The exhibit is open daily from noon to 7 p.m. through September 5.
