I have seen that two City chains are doing a very cool project and honors our US vets with a free dinner or lunch on veterans day. Applebees and Chilis are both giving a free entree to vets who bring in a proof of their service. Good for them. It might not be much, but the thought is awesome in my eyes. Hopefully people can get out and recognize their favorite vets on Thursday in their own special ways. For me personally, that means my Dad, and then remembering both of my Grandfathers for their service.
