QUOTE Sullair, a major employer in Michigan City, has named a new leader. Jack Carlson retired as president and CEO of the air compressor manufacturer. He's been succeeded by Charlie Takeuchi. Carlson ran the air compressing solutions company for four years, growing sales, market share and profitability. He led the company through its acquisition by Hitachi in April 2017. “It was a tremendous honor to serve as CEO of Sullair alongside our dedicated employees around the globe," he said. "Sullair has a 55-year legacy of delivering reliability, durability and performance to our customers. As Charlie takes over, I am confident that Sullair will continue its growth trajectory as he and the team build on this strong foundation.” Takeuchi has served as chief operating officer and executive vice president of the company since July 2017, overseeing its integration with Hitachi and day-to-day operations. He previously served in a number of managerial positions for Hitachi. |
