We came upon an accident scene at the north intersection of 2 and 421. There was a motorcycle involved, but that was all we could see. We were shocked at the number of onlookers at the gas station.

Anyone have any more information?

2 injured Sunday in wreck at Ind. 2, U.S. 421 in Westville

WESTVILLE | At least two people were injured in a crash Sunday afternoon on U.S. 421 near Ind. 2, police said.

The crash happened at about 4:30 p.m. as a vehicle was turning eastbound onto Ind. 2 from U.S. 421, said Rashaun Sinclair, a LaPorte County deputy. The vehicle collided with a motorcycle that was traveling northbound on U.S. 421.

The two people on the motorcycle were ejected after the crash, Sinclair said. One person was transported to Franciscan St. Anthony Health in Michigan City and the other person was transported to a South Bend hospital.

The conditions of the two people and their identities were not available Sunday evening. The two people in the other vehicle also were not identified.

Sinclair said it appears the crash was caused because of a failure to yield. The crash remained under investigation Sunday.
