Girls open up ranked 5 in the times and are expected to be a contender in the DAC. They open up November 3rd at home against SB Adams.

Boys will be young and hopefully will get better as season moves along. They open up November 25th at Concord.

The Wolves boys basketball program has fallen on hard times. Off to a 4-9 start including a loss in their MLK tournament game in Chicago on Saturday and due to the postponments has not even played a DAC opponent yet. I am looking at either 0-7 or 1-6 (might beat Portage) in the DAC and a quick out in the sectional.

The talent well has run dry at that big building over on Pahs Rd.

I wouldn't say the well is dry. They aren't super talented at the top, but they have a ton of talent in 8th and 9th grades this year, and following behind them. Having 11 seniors is a big blow. Merrillville had a similar season a few years back for the same reason when they went 4-16.

Girls fall at LaPorte 61-57

Boys beat LaPorte 64-60 to go to 1-0 in the DAC. Daijon Reddix led the way with 13 Will Hanyard had 12 and Evan Bush and Javion Reid chipped in 11. Nice win in a gym City doesn't win in very often.
