I noticed it wasn't open, and there was a paper sign in the window that said only "closed". Is the business closed down for good?

I understand the place is being updated with new equipment, etc. soon to reopen from what I understand.

Glad to hear they are coming back. The few times I have been in there when my machines broke down, I have found the people who run the place to be very nice.

According to the Beacon site that property is owned by Gil Pontius.

I understand Gil got the property as part of the deal when Al's Supermarket bought what was left of the old Jim's Supermarkets/ Plums Stores.

Its was in desperate need of BIG repairs. Shot out windows, machine troubles, just to name a few. Left my pants in the washer there once, and next thing I knew it was up in SMOKE. Anyways, hope it opens up by spring, otherwise they'll be alot of stinkin clothes around here.
