A sad story - Lake Michigan demands respect.

It is always depressing when you see the Coast Guard chopper running up and down the lake front.

Wonder if he was Amish:
QUOTE

MICHIGAN CITY — A 24-year-old man from Nappanee drowned Saturday night when he was swept off the Michigan City pier by 6 to 10 foot waves

No kidding:

QUOTE

You have to respect that lake when the waves are that high because something like this is very likely to happen,” he said. “You have to be extra cautious and stay away from the pier. Don’t risk you life because the waves are so powerful.”

Wonder if he was Amish:
No kidding:
It was three Amish couples with a wedding party taking picture. One of the women was pregnant. All six got swept into the lake and five got out.

Condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Helmuth.

Access could be restricted to the pier in bad conditions.

You don't have to be on the pier to get those pics. In fact that one isn't.
