Here's a great site I just found - lots of discussion of memories we all probably share of Chicago TV.

I've lived in a lot of different places and 70s TV in the Chicagoland area was the greatest.
Dirty Dragon, Ray Rayner, Bozo, Creature Features, Saturday morning Bowery Boys, Blondie movies, Channel 11 Prisoner, Goodies, Monty Python, Channel 44 Blackhawks and Sox games, Harry Carey, Fencl-Tufo monster of a deal commercials, I remember Shelley Long and Gary Coleman in commercials before they were famous, Today's Racing with your host Ed Connaughton (I think he moved to Hawaii later), Cisco Kid and Lone Ranger episodes.
Ahhhh....the memories.

Yep, apparently the Museum of Broadcast Communications owns the exclusive rights to the WGN archives.

They do have alot of other cool stuff though...Rich Koz as the son of Svengoolie. 7th inning stretch featuring Harry Caray singing TMOTTBG at the old Comisky Park and a commercial for La Preferida foods with Harry, Disco Demolition Night footage, '83 White Sox clinching and celebration after winning the AL west.

You WIMS guys should find out what ever became of Lorelei and hire her as your spokesmodel:

Having never seen a Sox game - *ducks* - I had no idea Harry announced for them before going to the Cubs.

Now I do.

It's pretty funny. I used to be a Sox fan when I was a young kid in the early 70s, then I switched later to the Cubs (*ducks too*) when I saw Harry Caray announcing on WGN. Looking back, I must have switched when Harry changed teams.

As for Lorelei. If you think she was 18 in 81 (which you can tell she wasn't), she'd be almost 48. So I think she's probably in her 50s now.
