Earlier this week I had a salesperson wearing a "Just Energy" hat come to my door and identify himself as from "the utility company". He asked to see a copy of my NIPSCO bill, supposedly to verify that the price protection on my account was correct. Naturally, that's where the conversation stopped, but when I saw this posting on Consumerist, I thought I'd let you all know about it.

Just a general warning that utility price protection plans often offer no savings at all and third-party companies are sometimes deceptive about their terms.

I saw them over in the Gardena Park neighborhood yesterday!
