Thanks to everyone who sent emails and gave calls...we are returning the local talk show with Paula Griffin to WIMS with a 5 to 6:30pm show starting Monday. Guests already "booked" for week one include Wes Scully of the NAACP to talk about MLK day, the Barrack inaguration and how it's going to improve or DE-improve race relations locally. Jerry Davich of the Post Tribune talking about his book and local goings on, Joan McCormick of the MCAS to talk strategic plan and Sullair, a local member of the American Cancer Society on a big project they have coming up...and more.
PLEASE feel free to send me names or ideas of people you would like for us to talk to...and you can post questions that you would like asked anywhere around here and we will credit you/the board. You can also give us a call anytime during the show... |

I would urge you to get people on who are not part of the City's nomenklatura. Will try to come up with some suggestions. First off the top of my head is cbtl's own Eric H.

I'll join you to talk about Angels in the Field and/or Barker Woods Enrichment Center whenever you want.
What about Scott Pelath, Jim Arnold, and Tom Dermody? They're sure to have interesting tidbits to discuss right now. |

Yeah, I've heard Southsider doesn't have the best of luck riding the trains...we don't really wanna broadcast accident number 3 live on the air...it could get morbid.
We DO have a message in to Eric about appearing next Monday to give us an "outsiders" view on the MCAS and to talk about what it is like to run for an elected position. |

Eric Hanke is IN, he will actually be live and in-studio so he will be able to take questions from the listeners as well...it won't be our traditional one on two interview. We are also planning on hijaking him and keeping him into the 6 o'clock hour so that we can get his opinions on local news/events. Should be fun.
Thanks to the Post's Jerry Davich for the mention in today's column... http://blogs.post-trib.com/davich/2009/01/...d-out-in-o.html He doesn't know what we are gonna talk about...we don't know what we are gonna talk about...should be fun either way though...he a funny interesting guy. |
