I want to put up a logo for CBTL. The mod team thinks it would be fun to let our members pick the logo (Thank you Dave for the idea). So, here's your challenge:
Submit a photo in this thread that you think would represent CBTL well. The picture must be a .jpg, .gif, or .bmp. After one month, I will start a poll to vote on the best photo. The poll will be left open for one month. After that the poll winner's photo will be the new CBTL logo. Because the number of poll choices are limited, we have to keep it to one submission per member. Some ideas would be to take a picture of MC from the Lake (we ARE City By The Lake), the look-out tower at the zoo, the statue at the entrance to Wash. Park, gazebo, etc. I know that the lighthouse is our biggest attraction, but that is used all over town and we want to be a little different. Lighthouse pictures are welcome, but please try to diversify. Also, please remember that if you use someone else's photo you must have permission. We don't want to infringe on anyone's copyright. The reason for month-long time span is to accomodate our members who don't check in all the time, we want everyone to have a chance to participate. So folks, go out there and get your pictures! The great CBTL Logo Contest has begun!!! CCR, you are an evil, evil man.
My response? But to be serious, I'm thinking I'm going to try to get a helicopter ride at "Lakeview Fun Days in the Park" (July 12-13) and see if I can get a picture of the city from out over the lake -- I'm thinking about 1000 feet up and 1000 feet out. With the right lens and right framing, I might be able to get a good picture that doesn't include NIPSCo. Then I can photoshop it... |

I really don't think that's what we had in mind. Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind~Dr. Suess

CCR, Is that the back end of the Blue Chimp? I really don't think that's what we had in mind. No, that's the "bow." She really does have timeless lines. |

Looks like the boat has eaten too many supersized meals.

How about a big photorealistic thermometer hitting the boiling point?
