Amazing - I go to this website to see when the frick my favorite pizza will finally be available again, and discover they are taking over the site of the former Harbor Grill:
http://www.giorgettis.com/ I don't know how I wound up here, but I'm increasingly glad I did.

Great! I'm glad there are plans for the place. IMO the previous owner threw money at everything except where it really needed it, the kitchen (chef). I ate there a couple times and it was BAD.

I walked over today. They're still waiting on whatever paperwork is needed from the health department to sell food, but the bar was open. Looked *great* inside. I don't know how I wound up here, but I'm increasingly glad I did.

I agree with you Dusk, the inside of the building looks really nice. I haven't been there lately but I don't think a lot has changed in one year. I'm looking forward to trying thier pizza. The other shop is in New Buffalo? Do they have a place in Chicago too? I've never had it before.

We absolutely adore their sausage pizza. I don't know how I wound up here, but I'm increasingly glad I did.

Had Giorgetti's pizza last night...the pepperonis are cute (huge!)...I think Albano's and Lil' Giant have better pizza...and WAY more affordable.
Pizza, two pastas, one wine and sodas, $70 with tip. Buy Local!

$70 sound pretty reasonable for what you got....

We ate at Giorgetti's today and we LOVED it. I had the pizza (sandwich pepperoni and handmade sausage) and it was tremendous. My wife pad pasta and a salad and she loved it, too. $39 before tip with a $3 appetizer. We were a bit surprised when the bill came, but it wasn't awful, I guess. Well worth it, imo.

Got around to trying them Friday night, it was by far the most horrible dining experiance of my adult life. Sad part is the food was great. Seven of us seated before 7:00 were promptly neglected for quite awhile then graciously served five bread sticks. By 8:35 and still no dinier, our waitress was able to provide a manager to our table. He listened dumbfounded to our irritation of being hungry and neglected. His response was to stand there and smile....... that is it. One of the party even asked him why he came to our table. His answer well the waitress asked me to.
The two hours of misery was not worth the good food! Treating the local folks like this will make it hard to survive a winter. |
