New feature set for city Web site

MICHIGAN CITY - Mayor Chuck Oberlie announced Monday high-quality, streaming videos about the many facets of living here soon will be added to the city's Web site at www.emichigancity.com.

Through a partnership with the U.S. Conference of Mayors, videos focusing on quality of life, economic development, tourism and education will be produced at no cost to the city by CGI Communications, Rochester, N.Y.

Once the initial videos are completed, community groups and area businesses can participate with their own 30- or 60-second video, which will highlight their particular business or group. These additional videos also will be displayed on the Web site.

Hey, it wouldn't surprise me in the least to discover they're using your ideas.

But the thread title is confusing me -- when I first saw it, I expewcted an article about the city installing webcams and showing them as streaming video on the city's website -- something else I think you suggested.
