City by the Lake.org, The Voice of Michigan City, Indiana _ Election Headquarters _ Lake Wins

This was a surprise, but not a shock. It is interesting that the voters unseated the incumbent for incompetence. I wonder if this is a pre-cursor to the national scene ahead (but I doubt it b/c Hoosiers are smarter, more practical and more honest than most!). Espar was an outsider, knew very little of the inner workings of the office that he was running for, got folks inside frustrated with poor quality performance (some of whom left), brought in new people who also were inexperienced and just upset the whole law enforcement system. Cases backed up, which hurts the field guys.

Let's wish John Lake good luck and hope this office gets back to where it needs to be pre-Larkin.
