First state championship in girls basketball for a NWI team since Lake Central won single class in 1994.
31 points allowed was a state finals record for fewest points in a 1A state title game. Since Marquette won regional last year and state this year means the Blazers will bump up to class 2A for at least the next two seasons under the IHSAA success factor rule. Team graduates just two seniors who are both reserve players. Emma Nolan should be a front runner for Miss Basketball in 2019. |
