“Change That Works”
Chris Schwanke has announced his intention to run for the democratic nomination for the 6th Ward City Council Seat in Michigan City.

Chris is the owner of Classic Builders, Inc., a local construction and maintenance service company that he founded in 2004. As a local business owner, Chris, understands that we are in a period of tough economic stress for many residents, business owners, and the city. Chris is a person that has been there and understands the needs of Michigan City.

Chris knows the workings of city government as he has served as a member of the Michigan City Historic Review Board for the past 10 years. Presently Chris is Vice-Chairman of this Board.

If elected Chris will be the official that will listen to the concerns and will act upon the needs of his constituents. Chris will build a working relationship with city departments and focus on economic developments which will secure jobs to Michigan City residents.

Chris, his wife, and two children have lived in the 6th ward for over 20 years and he believes that it has become the forgotten ward of the city.

The “Change that Works” committee consists of Hosea Lynch, Chairman; Karl Dennis, Vice Chairman; Brian Schwanke, Treasurer; Elizabeth Volk, Secretary.

Any Questions referencing the Change that Works” program please call Chris at 219-878-3453 or cschwanke@comcast.net.
