PUBLIC SAFETY ALERT!


There was a home invasion/sexual assault in the 2500 block of Bruce Dr. on October 26th 2012 at 8:30pm. The victim, a young lady pulled her vehicle into her garage, after she exited a Black Male armed with a weapon f
orced her into the house.

The suspect ROBBED and SEXUALLY ASSAULTED the victim before jumping a fence and running northbound.

The suspect is described as a younger Black Male approximately 5’07”, wearing a black hoodie.

Anyone who might have information reference to this case or think they might have seen suspicious activity regarding the suspect during this time frame of the incident is asked to please call the Michigan City Police Department (219) 874-3221. The Lead Investigator in this case is Detective Sgt. Dave Legros Ext. #313.

Woman robbed, sexually assaulted in her Michigan City garage

Police are looking for the public's help after a home invasion and sexual assault in Michigan City.

It happened Friday at 8:30 p.m. in the 2500 block of Bruce Dr.

Police say a young woman pulled her car into her garage and was approached by an armed black male.

The suspect robbed and sexually assaulted the female, then jumped a fence and fled on foot.

He is described as a younger black male, approximately five foot seven, wearing a black hoodie.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Michigan City Police Department.
