LaPORTE - Tobias Smith, LaPorte, has received a scholarship to attend Space Camp in Huntsville, Ala.
He was one of 39 students selected for a full-tuition scholarship. To obtain a scholarship, students must submit an application with a detailed description of a science experiment, an essay, a mission patch design and three letters of recommendation. Only 9 percent of those applying this year received full scholarships. This is Space Camp's 25th year, having evolved into an internationally known program with nearly 1 million alumni. |
