I met Joe when we were on a board together. He always had the interest of the kids we were dealing with uppermost, and he kept the rest of there focused on them, too.

I know he was on many, many boards, and part of many organizations around town. Someone mentioned the Boy Scouts--could you tell us about that?

And what about the Knights of Columbus? St Joe Club? Etc etc etc. Please add your comments.

Joe was also involved in the Social & Learning Institute for the Disadvantaged, a group that works with adults with special needs.

I agree with your statement from the other thread--the world would be a better place with more people like Joe and his wife Nancy.
