QUOTE MICHIGAN CITY – Safe Harbor’s Michigan City Robotics Team, the RoboBlitz, took home top honors at the 2018 FIRST (For Inspiration & Recognition in Science & Technology) Robotics State Championship in Kokomo Saturday. It’s their first state championship win since the team was established in 2011, and since the FIRST Championship’s 2015 inception. Ralph Gee, robotics coach and teacher at Michigan City High School, said, “Our students were focused on building a quality robot, and worked really hard all season to achieve a high degree of consistency in the robot’s performance. It’s great to be able to get to state championships and then win them.” |
