I'm pretty proud how much we've cut back this year and still I think we'll have a great Christmas.
I've ordered many of my gifts online. This helps me out since I'm a shopaholic and tend to go crazy when I walk into a store I'm using recycled paper and raffia, making my own tags and baking more for gifts. I haven't renewed my magazine subscriptions for next year...one of my little luxuries. I hope I don't have withdrawal Now if I could cancel my newspaper subscriptions I would really get ahead. Thank goodness I don't have to worry about the internet cost. I have to draw the line somewhere. Nothing is worth more than this day!

I have been on a several-year effort to make Christmas a religious holiday again. In order to avoid shorting the family on presents, we make bigger fusses over birthdays.

Great idea..I suppose it would entail some "phasing in" time.
