I was down at the MCPA yesterday and saw two large crane trucks. They were setting the new cupola on the old light house. It looks nice.
I did notice that it seemed like there were a lot more people down there than needed for that project then I heard two men talking. One asked the other, "do you think that was vandalism? I don't I think that pump got knocked over because of it rocking and rolling." I asked what had happened and they said there was some sort of very large pump that was tipped over and a bunch of oil was "all over the place." I noticed the grass on teh south side of the light house looked slick and dark but then also so a bunch of DNR type boats tied up along the river. I don't know much more than this but something did happen down there. Not sure if it made it to the water or not.

Ugh. Why can't people just take care of the things they have?

Is this in reference to the cost of the new cupola?

I must have misread you, but it sounded like you were saying vandalism, if that isn't right, I withdraw my statement.

Ah I gotchya... I guess some people were speculating it was vandalism but another man said "no way, it would take over 10 strong men to push that pump over." I still don't know what the pump is or where it was. Just saw a LOT of commotion going on.

A 2200 lb pump fell off a barge spilling some of its oil.

OK, I assumed it was on a barge but didn't want to say anything without being positive.
