Just issued thunderstorm watch until 8:00PM of Northwest Indiana. Watching the Cubs game and it looks like Hurricane Katrina is blowing over Wrigley Field at this time.

its actually staying north of us now, and I watched a brief video from Mike Hoffman out of Wndu tv out of south bend, and he said if that cluster that hit chicago doesn't extend farther south, the storms may miss us altogether.

Have fun sitting in the Chesterton High School parking lot during the weather delay.

I still remember the last time a storm like that coming over the lake and hitting MC back in August 06. 100+ mph hurricane force winds all over the friggin place. All you heard were chain saws and wood chippers the day after.

Could be more. Curious if the beach house will still be there next week.

Reports say waves approached near 30' by the dunes. Wonder if they'll be any beaches left.

Big changes coming!! After a slight cool down this weekend and a brief warmup on Monday. Cold air spreads in on Tuesday next week and staying here for awhile. Temperatures will be lucky to get above 30 and overnight lows dipping into the teens and yes there will be some snow and possibly some Heavy Lake Effect Snow. Get those snowblowers and shovels ready!!

Paul Konrad from WGN morning news says high of 74 degrees today. All the snow remnants from the Super Bowl Sunday Blizzard has now disappeared from my yard!!!

Preparing the snow throwers for summer month preventive maintenance and going out of the garage and down into the basement for storage until November and bringing the lawn mower up from the basement and into the garage.
