You do have Domino's listed.
Albano's is better if you have them cook it about 5 minutes less (large pizza) than they usually do-- The difference between genius and stupidity is that there are limits to genius. Albert Einstein

If folks are taking the time to read the posts here, I wish they would take the time to vote. I am very curious to see what the most popular pizza place in MC is. Personally, if I could transplant the Albano family to Wyoming, it would be worth it to me just to have that pizza!

Albano's is by far the best pizza in our fair city. I moved out of MC years ago - but every time I'm home I have Albano's - and it tastes exactly like it did 20 years ago. The inside of the restaurant even still smells the same!

Albanos used to be the the best pizza in town. Personally I think the quality has gone way down. I have heard that the business is no longer in the family...though I honestly do not know if this is rumor or fact. It would explain, however, the serious drop in quality. It is so greasy now.
I love Gelsosimos. They have a great sauce and their pizza is way less greasy than Albanos. |

Sorry to hear you've had a bad experience. |

I have had many more than one bad experience. I have not returned to Albanos in months, however. Maybe there is a return to their original quality???

Well, I don't know - my opinion could be based on the fact that I only get there once a year.... but I'm pretty picky about this stuff - and the pizza I had last month was fantastic! |

Albano's doesn't do much for me.
Tom over at Little Giant does a really good job, just a little out of the way. Try the "Roman Special" well cooked. |

I was in town Saturday and ate dinner at Albano's. Yummy Yummy Yummy! I bought two small pizzas to go and brought them back to Wyoming with me for my Dad to eat. He was like a little kid with a great big Easter basket. He jumped up and hugged me and kept saying, "Now THAT'S a gift!" He couldn't wait to go to work to tell all his buddies that I brought him back the best pizza in the world.

It looks like we have a clear winner - Albano's! It's not a clear winner. Albano's is the most popular but they don't have the best. I asked who's had little giants and it looks like nobody has. There is also that new sheee-sheee place called stop 50 pizza which has a stone oven. I'd imagine they use pretty good ingrdients based on the prices. |

I had Little Giants years ago when I had a buddy who was a delivery driver, and wasn't really that impressed. I am intreagued by the new place though. I'll have to check it out. |

Of the pizza places listed, here is my feelings of them:
Roma: gives me heartburn every time Albano's: From my last post on this thread, you all know how I feel Godfather's: Excellent crust, tasty sauce Gelsosomo's: Crust is too thin, too greasy, not impressed Pizza Hut: Deep dish meat lovers is really good, but that about all I like Papa John's: There is a reason they give you garlic butter to dip the pizza in Little Giant: Totally disgusting. I would rather eat at Taco Hell--I mean Bell Domino's: It's the McDonald's of pizza and not that good, although I would pick it over Taco Bell. I haven't ate at Roma's in years. They used to have the best turnovers in town, but something changed and they got a lot more greasy.
I do like Gelsosomo's but as a change of pace. Their sauce is completely different than anything else in MC, and it is nice when you are bored with anything else. The best thing about Godfathers is the buffet. Its perfect for a family like mine with a baby, because you can pick and choose, plus only get small portions, which is hard to do anywhere else. It is a solid pizza though. Albanos' is still my favorite. Papa John's is my least favorite of all the chains. You couldn't pay me to eat that stuff. Pizza Hut is decent for fast pizza. The best thing about them is ordering on-line and they always have great coupons for that. Domino's is a notch above Papa John's in my book. Little Giant I haven't had since high school, but couldn't stand it then. Maybe it has changed? My biggest complaint about the MC pizza scene is there is no Chicago style deep dish to be had. |

My biggest complaint about the MC pizza scene is there is no Chicago style deep dish to be had. My biggest complaint about food in Wyoming is there is no Chicago-style ANYTHING. There isn't even a greek restaurant. We do have this place called Old Chicago's, which is actually a chain, but the only thing Chicago about it is the decor. It's full of photos of the city and sports teams from the last 100 years or so. The food is definitely NOT Chicago-style Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind~Dr. Suess

Stop 50 used to be a little grocery. It's on the city line next to Michiana Shores. When I was in second grade and wanted to get candy, my mom also often gave me an extra 1.50 with a note to Jean to buy a pack of Benson and Hedges 100 and I wasn't buying them for myself but for my mom. Ted was the butcher, and he was always smoking a cigar.
They sold the shop when I was 10, and some other people ran it into the ground within two years. Years later, Ted was running the butcher counter at Beach Mart next to Swingbellys - without Jean and without the cigar. Please help me fight HIV/AIDS with the Empire State AIDS Ride.
