The La Porte County Parks Department is closing two of its parks temporarily for road repairs and paving.
Red Mill County Park in La Porte will be closed today and Friday, but will reopen for the weekend. It will close again on Monday, May 7, before reopening for good on Tuesday, May 8.
Park department offices, which are located at Red Mill, will be closed Friday, May 4, throughWednesday, May 9. The offices will not be accessible to the public during this time except by phone at 219-325-8315 or 219-873-7014, ext. 223, during office hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Creek Ridge County Park in Michigan City will be closed intermittently while drainage and excavation work is completed.
The park will close today and will not re-open until Friday, May 11.
The park will close two more times, from May 15 to 18 and on May 21 and 22.
