Will someone explain to me why the Mayor sent the head of the Sanitary District to a conference on after school programs?

Will someone explain to me why the Mayor sent the head of the Sanitary District to a conference on after school programs? http://thenewsdispatch.com/main.asp?Sectio...amp;TM=45140.98 We are fortunate in Michigan City that local organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club, Minority Health Coalition, Hours for Ours, Imagination Station, Lubeznik Center for the Arts, H.O.P.E., Singing Sands Performing Arts, Dunebrook, and the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts have partnered with the Michigan City Area Schools to provide quality educational opportunities for local children. Al Walus Michigan City But unfortunatly most of the funding from the schools that allowed these partnerships have been pulled, to fund the early learning center. Hope is not open now partly because of this. |
