Does anyone know if it is just a leaf pick up, or if they will take limbs and brush as well?

Update given on city leaf pickup schedule

From Staff Reports

MICHIGAN CITY - Central Services Superintendent Jim Elwell and Mayor Chuck Oberlie have released an update on the city leaf pickup schedule.

City street department and refuse crews will continue working in Area 1 through Monday, which is marked by County Line Road on the west, Franklin Street on the east, Kieffer Road on the south and Lake Michigan on the north.

Crews will begin the final pick up of Area 2, which is marked by Lake Shore Drive, U.S. 12 and Shoreland Drive on the north, Michigan Boulevard on the south and Meer Road on the east, Tuesday, Dec. 1. Crews will make one pass on each street.

The public is asked not to park on leaf piles, and cooperate with the following rules:

• No plastic bags.

• Branches, rocks and other debris must be kept out of leaf piles.

• Leaf piles should be loose in large piles in front of the property and as close to the curb as possible, but away from the sewer drains.
