I find it interesting that gas prices in La Porte County shot up 35 cents per gallon since out of town visitors came to our area. Gas prices are $4.09 in LP and MC yet I bought gas in Chesterton for $3.77. Gas Buddy shows prices throughout the area of between $3.69 to 3.79. Real tourist areas do not gouge their visitors unlike some of the greedy business owners in LP County.
