the season)

Can home schooled kids play or are they not eligible?

You can call the high school athletic office to get the answer to that. I have not ran into that situation in 8 years of coaching.

To answer the home schooled students eligibility:

Home school kids are not eligible unless they also come to the high school for at least one class a day. The same would apply for the middle school football program.

why didn't you have the practices at one or other or shared between the schools? Now every parent has to be inconvenienced? is there potentially a school bus that can take them?

Oh why can't we just open up Elston again and close Barker and Krueger, I miss my Red Devils!!!

When there were 3 middle schools (Elston, Barker, and Krueger), Elston was the centralized location of the three middle schools. The facilities, for football, at Elston were far superior to Krueger or Barker.

An activities bus transports players from Barker and Krueger to Elston after school, reducing the burden on parents.

In 2013 the locker room was completely refurbished by former middle school football coach Aaron Strelinski. Taking his own time over an entire summer to make our locker room nothing less than awesome. You can check out our locker room on the MCAS web site. http://www.mcas.k12.in.us/Page/7692

Below are several items that make Elston the perfect site for the middle school football program:

Concessions stand on the field

Home and away bleachers

Superior locker room facilities with coaches office

Weight room

Storage area for field and training equipment

Electronic score board

Irrigated football field

Football field is fenced in and can be secured when not being utilized

Large parking area for home games
