Kids loved the otter exhibit. Especially the underwater tube.
The coolest thing about the bear exhibit is that one of the bears seems to like to go into his cave and press his face right up against the plexiglass. He puts his nose right up to one of the lower corners of the plexiglass where the caulking has a few tiny gaps. You can put your fingers there in the corner and feel his breath through those little holes. You know, if you are into the whole boogery bear breath on your fingers thing. Put simply, mean reversion is a bitch. -Vitaliy Katsenelson

Speaking of Bears...
I was hiking in the woods yesterday up on Casper Mountain. There is a nature park called Bear Trap. They have a camp ground and lots of nature trails. In the summer you walk them, in the winter you ski them. It's a real beautiful place. Anyway, while on our nature hike, we came across the following. It's a grave and if you look real close, you'll see a boot sticking out... Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind~Dr. Suess

I don't know why the pic is so small. I save it onto my computer at work from an email I sent yesterday. The original pic is on my puter at home, so I will try to post it again when I get home.
What it is is a rocky grave with a cowboy boot sticking out, a cross at the head with a hat hanging off it and a sign that says, "Please don't feed the bears." Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind~Dr. Suess

If you click on the pic, it becomes full size.
BTW, I want to echo the sentiments about the new exhibit. It is nice to see some 21st century treatment of these animals, as the old staging area was just cruel. The new area is very nice and user friendly. |

Do they still sell season passes?

Yes they do, and they are pretty cheap.
