Let me preface this by saying this has always been one of my favorite places to eat. They aren't expensive, they are kid friendly, I love to play trivia, and the ballgame is always on.
We went to eat there Saturday with the kids in tow. Lunch went fine until the check came. I broke out my debit/credit card, to which I was informed that their card reader wasn't working. I told the waitress I didn't have enough cash, and she informed me that I could get money out of the ATM. So $3.50 later (or more than 10% of the total bill) later I had the cash out to pay for it. It really upset me that they didn't tell me until after the fact that they didn't tell people about the card reader not working. I asked for the manager at the front desk to talk to her about it, but the person working there informed me that she was out running around somewhere if I wanted to find her. I am really curious what they would have done if I didn't have a debit card that I could get cash out of the machine at. Many people don't have a pin for cash on their credit cards, or have a lower cash limit than their total credit limit. What would they do with them? Anyway, I coincidentally got the survey on the bill, so I already sent in a nice complaint to that, and to their corporate Email. We'll see if there is any follow up with it or not. |

Man, that's kinda bogus!
That place seems to be riddled with problems. I remember a year ago or so it was ripped off for 50 grand cash. That was an inside job and I don't think it was ever solved. I read in the paper today that someone cut a hole in the roof and the alarm system was disarmed pointing yet again to an inside job. |

We were just there last night, with my kids running about playing games (always within our sight, though).
I, too, usually use my debit card there. I'd have expected a sign on the door at a minimum, and would have complained as well. Anymore, I don't carry cash, and this type of situation annoys me. |

Ugh, that is really bad management. Hopefully that's just a one-time oversight. I love that BWW; haven't been there for months, but still, it's great. They have the best and friendliest service of any of the locations I've tried.
Ooh, trivia. Anyone up for a trivia CBTL gathering? |

Yes! Pillaging...a fine way to get all of us together...a good old fashioned CBTL pillaging.

Well I never have heard back from the Manager nor the District Manager again despite trying twice, so I guess it is on to Holly's for me.

Always tasted like spaghetti sauce with chili powder to me... "If a man opens the car door for his wife, it's either a new car or a new wife." - Duke of Edinburgh.
