Just heard a report that Filter Specialists off of Hwy. 212 is closing it's doors. 200 more jobs down the drain. Announcement was made to employees yesterday and first round of layoff will be in November.

Not a very Merry Christmas for those families.

Why hasn't there been a story in the News-Dispatch about this?

The companies website says they stared there in 1972 and the report I heard on WEFM stated that the employees are operating with antiquated equipment, most likely the same macines that went in in '72. They also said that the company recently changed hands but did not want to reinvest in their Michigan City location.
