I figured that I would set this up and give it a chance to see if anything happens. What I want to see is regular people ask questions of the canditates in general. IE What are your visions for the North End? What I don't want to see are things asked of specific people or questions specifically asked to trap specific candidates. I have no idea if there will be answers given or not, but I would encourage any candidate for office during this cycle to use the opportunity to connect with voters.
Good Luck! |

I know I do not live in Michigan City anymore but there is a reason why I left. I miss my home town and my friends there, but I do not want my children to grow up in MC in its current environment. Having said that, I would like to pose this question to the Mayoral Candidates:
Michigan City Area Schools is in very sad shape. There are many discipline problems, even at the elementary level, as well as learning problems and teaching problems. I realize that MCAS is an entity of its own, but I believe the Mayor should be involved with the school system. i.e. attending school Board meetings, spending time with Board members as well as Administration, visiting the schools and talking with students--all this on a regular basis. As Mayor of Michigan City, what would you to do get involved and help MCAS become the envy of other school districts in the area? Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind~Dr. Suess

Amen, amen, Ang. I think your question takes pole position.
How about this: As Mayor, how would you integrate the various groups discussing North End development? The difference between genius and stupidity is that there are limits to genius. Albert Einstein

Since my question has gone unanswered to the Mayoral Candidates, I'll pose it to Angie. I know she'll answer :
Angie, what would you do, as a Councilwoman At-Large, to get involved with the MCAS and improve their image? Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind~Dr. Suess
