City by the Lake.org, The Voice of Michigan City, Indiana _ City Talk _ Early voting heavy turnout

Approximately 1 in every 12 people in Laporte County has already voted at an early voting site. Another 5000 have returned mail in ballots, for a total of about 13,000 votes already cast.

For perspectives sake, the 2016 election saw about 46,000 total votes cast in Laporte County.
