Due to an approaching thunderstorm.

They did do them, but the crowds were much smaller because of the rain, not to mention a lot of people left early when a storm warning was announced in Washington Park. The show was also about half as long as the 45 minutes that was advertised.

Yeah, and there were people telling everyone the fireworks were cancelled. We parked on 5th street and were just coming up to the library when some lady said they were cancelled!!
