Chefs to prepare Titanic dinner

6:34 a.m. EDT, April 9, 2012
MICHIGAN CITY - The menu from the first-class dining room, one of the few souvenirs saved from the night the luxurious ocean liner Titanic sank on its maiden voyage, is the inspiration for a 10-course dinner to be served Saturday at Barker Hall, 600 Franklin St.

Great Lakes Catering chefs Ed and Robert Kis will serve the meal on the 100th anniversary of the
Titanic's sinking.

The cost is $45 per person. A champagne reception and hors d'oeuvres will be available at 6 p.m. with dinner seating at 7.

Reservations may be made by calling 219-874-4355 or at www.Barker-Hall.com.

In addition to hors d'oeuvres, the menu will include cream of barley, poached salmon with mousseline sauce, prime rib of beef, chateau potatoes, green peas, creamed carrots, punch Romaine, cold asparagus vinaigrette, paté and Waldorf pudding.
