I guess our people were busy elsewhere...well, maybe next time.
Wind turbine plant plans to hire 450 By Keith Roysdon / The Muncie Star Press Posted: October 8, 2008 An Italian wind turbine manufacturer is expected to announce today that it will bring 450 jobs to the Muncie area. Government officials confirmed that Brevini, an Italian company with U.S. headquarters near Chicago, is scheduled to make the announcement at a business park at I-69 and Ind. 332, where it will locate its new plant. U.S. Rep. Mike Pence and Muncie Mayor Sharon McShurley both issued statements Tuesday welcoming Brevini to the area. The company is expected to create 450 jobs to support the making of energy-generating wind turbines. The jobs would include administrative and manufacturing positions and are expected to pay an average of $46,000 a year. "I'm delighted it's locating in East Central Indiana," said Roy Budd, executive director of Energize-ECI, the region's economic development agency. "This is one of the better projects to come to East Central Indiana since I've been here." It also is welcome news for an area that has seen unemployment spike in recent months. Delaware County's unemployment rate reached 7.2 percent in August, nearly a percentage point higher than the statewide average of 6.3 percent. ... Good for them, but can the City Admin give us a list of the last 10 businesses they have tried to get to locate over here?

Nope. I don't think there is 10 businesses on the list.
Maybe you should rephrase that. Instead, ask, "Can City admin provide a list of all the businesses they LOST because they didn't try hard enough, or held out too long for too much, or just because of ineptitude?" Bet that list will be at the very least least two pages! Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind~Dr. Suess

Good for them, but can the City Admin give us a list of the last 10 businesses they have tried to get to locate over here? No, but it's about the time of year for someone in Economic Development to pound out a press release...usually something like this... "Office of Economic Development in negotiations with unnamed company bringing (lets make up a number) jobs to Michigan City..." "If a man opens the car door for his wife, it's either a new car or a new wife." - Duke of Edinburgh.
