Red Lobster's Michigan City location is at risk of closing.

The New England-themed seafood chain, which is known for its Cheddar Bay Biscuits and popular Lobster Fest, Shrimp Fest and Crab Fest promotions, listed the Northwest Indiana restaurant as one of 129 locations nationwide that could close if the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida approves its bankruptcy plan.

The Orlando, Florida-based casual dining chain, one of the largest seafood chains in the world, said in a court filing it would close the Red Lobster at 4353 Franklin St., Michigan City if it could not renegotiate the lease, saying it would lose money under the current terms. It's also looking to close restaurants in Kokomo and Richmond in Indiana, and Bourbonnais and Champaign in Illinois, if they cannot renegotiate leases.
