Michigan City couple honored for donation to Ivy Tech


HOBART | A couple who made a $2.7 million gift toward the expansion of Ivy Tech Community College's Michigan City campus were honored Thursday at the annual Chancellor's Scholarship Dinner at Avalon Manor.

Rade and Leslie Pejic, of Michigan City, were named benefactors of the year for their in-kind donation, the largest received in Ivy Tech's northwest region.

Times Media Co. Publisher Bill Masterson and Lisa Tatina, of the Post-Tribune, also were honored with Community Linkage awards.

Receiving scholarships to continue their education were Jana Cram, Susan Estes, Richard Gaines, Carmen Howard, Angela Koloj, Bozanna Morales, Cedric Scott, Michael Uylaki, Dana Wichlinski and Mark Williams.
