INDIANAPOLIS — At least four of the 30 judges and lawyers who applied to replace Justice Brent Dickson, a Hobart native, on the Indiana Supreme Court have direct ties to Northwest Indiana.

They are: James Ahler, superior court judge in Jasper County; Paul Cherry, a federal magistrate judge based in Hammond; Mark Lienhoop, an attorney in LaPorte; and Jaime Oss, an attorney from Michigan City.
