Even though I go into the just once in a while and there are only two that I ever patronize which is the Sand Trap because everyone knows me there and Three Sheets because it is in walking distance to my house and I only go into the Sand Trap and Three Sheets during the daytime because the smoking bothers me when the bar is packed and it makes my eyes burn and my clothes smell. I think I might have to give this place a try.

From all reports on the MC Restaurant Review page on FB this place is a dump. The owner seems to be a horrible person who has berated more than a few posters, including myself, for posting opinions or asking questions. Chief complaints include horrible, undercooked food and crap service. They also feature an unsavory "Drag Show". You couldn't play me to go to this place.
I wish people cared half as much about local politics as they do about food.

I dunno. With bar scene venues like that....it could get out of hand.
More from NWI times:
40 shots fired outside Michigan City bar
Regional Crime Report - Michigan City
MICHIGAN CITY — Police are turning to the public for help in determining who fired up to 40 gunshots in Michigan City's downtown historic arts district.
Police believe the eruption of gunfire early Sunday is connected to a disturbance earlier that night at the Burger Bar on 9th Street, a block west of Franklin Street.
Nobody was wounded, but several vehicles and at least one home were hit with some of the shots.
Police Chief Mark Swistek said Indiana Excise Police will be contacted to keep behavior at the bar from spiraling out of control.
''We'll be working on this together,'' said Swistek.
About 2:30 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to shots being fired less than two hours after responding to a complaint of loud music from the bar and defusing a possible fight between two groups outside the night club, police said.
Numerous shell casings were found at more than one location, including the parking lot of the First Presbyterian Church across the street from the bar.
Two witnesses ducked behind dumpsters for cover and told police two groups of black males wearing hoodies were firing at each other.
According to police report, officers were at the scene investigating when more shots rang out and a car was seen at 9th and Washington streets slamming on its brakes and accelerating in reverse.
Other people were ducking and screaming telling officers, "They're shooting over there," pointing to an alley between Franklin and Washington streets.
A 2015 Dodge Charger with six bullet holes on the driver's side was among the half-dozen or so vehicles hit.
Bullets also shattered the storm door and living room window of a home where a man and wife were sleeping in the 400 block of E. 10th Street.
There was also a bullet hole in the drywall of the home.
Swistek said not only will pressure be applied by excise police, which has the authority to recommend a liquor license be pulled, but a meeting will be held with management at the bar "to seek their cooperation as well."
Anyone with information about the gunfire is asked to contact Michigan City Police at (219) 874-3221.
Maybe somebody can enlighten me, but isn't this area suppose to be a trendy upscale cafe and arts district ? Be a blow to tourism if you have incidents like that there.
