The Indiana State Department of Health has announced that Walmart is beginning to administer the COVID-19 vaccine to Hoosiers with appointments.

The pharmacies in Mishawaka, Michigan City and Warsaw, will follow the eligibility guidelines set by the Indiana State Department of Health including:

Any Indiana resident age 70 or older
Long-term care residents
First responders
Health care workers
One Walmart pharmacy worker said they’re happy to play a role in ending the pandemic.

“We’re just glad to join the fight and we are ready to vaccinate anyone who needs it, following the state guidelines but we’re glad to be doing what we’re doing right now,” Mario Defreitas said.

If you are eligible to receive a vaccine, you can request an appointment using the online system, or call 2-1-1 from any phone.
