I drove by Scartozzi's south of 12 on Karwick Road and saw they were open. I guess they opened yesterday for business. I brought home a quart of Marinara and a nice portion of eggplant lasagna. It was nice experiencing the opening vibe of a family business with Mom, Dad and son workng hard.
The eggplant lasagna was excellent and at a good price point. I put the marinara in the freezer for a rainy day. Check it out if you get chance, the entire place is brand new from the ground up and it seems like it's going to be a very promising addition. I'm pysched that it's on my way home from work! |

I stopped by Scartozzi's on the way home again last night and picked up some more marinara for the freezer along with some of thier own sausage and an order of stuffed shells. Once again, everything was really good! It's a great place to just stop in and pick up some stuff to go when you want to have a good meal without the fuss. Go check it out!

I live around the corner. I spoke to the owner about 2 weeks ago about the opening. I went over there yesterday and picked up a menu for friends and family. They have been open for a few days now and I've heard nothing but good things. It's nice to have a few restaurants around here for a change. Benny's, Tree House, Hacienda and now Sartozzi.

I made a mistake, maybe a MOD can correct it. It's Scartozzi's not Sartozzi's. Whoops.

They have a spot in the front window with two or three little two top tables. You could sit there and eat lunch but they're more set up for take out.

Nice to see a good local place once in a while. Out here the good ones are either national brands, places that have been here 30 years, or local rich guys who own 8 different restaurants. I wish a nice new local place would open here.
On a side note, I could kill you Chicken. I've had those dman bugs fly on my screen and move like that. So out of the corner of my eye, I thought that was one of those bugs. Then when I moved the screen and saw two posts and two bugs. I thought it was so strange they were moving the exact same pattern, it took me a solid 30 seconds before I figured out they weren't real bugs. It's so cool, I'm going to use the bugs as my signature in a different forum if you don't mind. |

You guys know how creepy it is to have a bunch of crawling bugs in a thread about restaurants and eating?

Yeah, hopefully there isn't some subliminal advertising going on here
