One of the topics at the outdoor writers'/broadcasters' conference at Rend Lake, from where I am writing this, is the cooperative efforts of the border states in cleaning up Lake Michigan and the foreign species of plants and marine life introduced by shipping. Hopefully we are finally on the right track. The meeting brought together principal media covering outdoor issues: print, video and radio.
