Is the City Council foolish or what? All one has to do is look at the fire calls in the paper to see that this vehicle is not needed. The only time I see the current firetrucks being used is during a parade, stopping by a local ball game or picking up the days groceries at Meijer. I'd have to believe it would be cheaper to pay a full time employee $30,000/yr to pick up food for each of the 4 fire stations. That is another thing the current administration needs to look at, do we need 24-7 coverage at four stations? I'd rather have more policemen on the streets stopping the drugs, thefts and gangs.
