I know they have stayed at the Clarion (formally Holiday Inn) and have practiced at Ames Field in the past. If they are Will the practice open to the public?

Outdated forum software. How about we upgrade to IP 3.0 instead, it supports IESpell http://www.iespell.com among other features, then nobody wold have any no excuses, this thing is so 2005.

Or use Firefox. Mine has a spellchecker built in.

I've put IESpell into my browser just to make Tim happy. I guarantee that there will me no more misspellings in my posts.

To tell the truth, I may have added on something to Firefox to add the spell check feature.

I'm just resisting the temptation to edit the thread title to correct the spelling.

Also I would imagine that they are using Ames again. They always do. I would call the ADs office at the high school for info.

"Misspelling" might look wrong, but it isn't a misspelling. biggrin.gif

True. But "be" is not spelled "me".

Lots of teams use Ames Field before they play Notre Dame. However, it is not a practice. Mostly it's used for running/stretching exercises and it is never open to the public. As a matter of fact, there is typically only one MCAS person allowed in the stadium while a team is there and that is usually a rep from the AD's office. Some teams also use Ames before they play Valpo, too. I've had the honor of playing "hostess" to a visiting team myself.

The reason the public is not allowed is because the visiting team (the one's who play the Irish) are worried about spies. Even though it is not a practice, one can still determine weaker or stronger players by watching them run and exercise. Some of the bigger names request a police presence as well--USC being one of them.

I guess that's understandable. Thanks for your insight.

I think the team had dinner at Hammer's (Johnson & 20) this evening, there was three Cardinal coach buses parked out front of that place about 5 PM this evening.
