Our Beloved Tim has been featured in Bass Magazine. Way to go, Tim!!!

I, for one, am proud of your accomplishment.

Tim, since the item is in Japanese, would mind providing a little translation?

Check it out...

Thank you Ang!! I'm honored. I'm out the door to work but will provide some translation later. Meanwhile, check the video lesson that goes with it - but don't eat first!

I graduated from the Bass Institute Of Technology at Musicians Institute in Los Angeles. When I lived in Studio City I had a BIT sticker on my car. The guy who parked next to me was an avid (nut) fisherman. One day we're getting in our cars at the same time and he looks at the sticker and says "So - where is this bass (as in fish) institute?"

So you're not alone! laugh.gif

Sorry this took a while. Basically the lesson is about playing with aggression - like not just playing but beating the crap out of your instrument. Musically, of course. Hence the little pic of the hammer and the picking hand. Like pounding a nail. There's also a part about imagining the face of someone you can't stand at the bottom of your picking stroke - so it's like you're beating some jerk's face in with every downstroke! Who can't relate to that?? laugh.gif

The magazine came out Monday, and we've had good response. Thanks again for the kudos!

Thanks for the translation. Although, I have to admit that I worry about you sometimes! I suppose it will be ok so long as it's not my face you're picturing while your hammering at that guitar.
