INDOT I-94/ US 421 ramps closed at Michigan City

Several of the on- and off-ramps at the I-94 interchange with U.S. Highway 421 in Michigan City have been closed and will remain closed through the end of June, the Indiana Department of Transportation said.

Crews will be resurfacing the ramps and adding upgrades to the entire interchange at that location.

Specific Closures

* The westbound I-94 exit to northbound U.S. 421 will be closed. To access Michigan City from westbound I-94, motorists will be routed to Ind. 49, take loop ramps to eastbound I-94, and then exit onto northbound U.S. 421 at the 34B exit.

* The southbound U.S. 421 exit to eastbound I-94 will be closed. To access eastbound I-94, motorists will be diverted onto westbound I-94 and then take the same double loop at Ind. 49 to get onto eastbound I-94.

* The northbound U.S. 421 exit to westbound I-94 will be closed. To access westbound I-94, motorist will be diverted onto eastbound I-94 and at the northbound Ind. 35 exit take two loop ramps to westbound I-94.
